Bass Lake's Angel Falls Raided by Sheriff's Deputies
CFI's Cory M. meets with Lieutenant Milt Gauthier of the Madera County Sheriff's Department. After 40 years of being an established skinnydipping spot, and with the 60's and 70's being even more popular with nudists, a complaint was made to the Sheriff's office regarding nude sunbathing at Angel Falls near Bass Lake, California. According to one of the sunbathers on location, a few deputies show up on the hill looking down on the sunbathers and told them to get dressed. One officer recommended going up a little higher to Devil's Slide and sunbathe there as it is more secluded.
Lieutenant Milt Gauthier told Corey from CFI that they are got very few complaints in the last 40 years. Corey quoted Lt. Gauthier as saying, "We are not focusing our efforts on closing Angel Falls down to sunbathers, but we had to follow up on a complaint."
